Against this backdrop, this session of eminent journalists, and professionals, discussed the need to find a shared narrative through discourse and communication media, as tools, to bring the \u201cvoices\u201d of the marginalized to the fore to shape the policy to be more meaningful and impactful.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-justify para-style-body\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">The session also discussed how the \u201cmarginalized\u201d have been at a disadvantage as their lived experiences and aspirations are hardly spoken about in the mainstream media. And how to ensure that those at the margins are represented adequately in the mainstream media.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-justify para-style-body\"><span class=\"JsGRdQ\">The session further dwelled on the issues of erosion of data gathering systems and how it is important to collect the right data to analyse and draft policy to be responsive to people&#8217;s needs. The panel also discussed the emergence of new world tools of digital media for broadcasting and idea-sharing and how to use this to bring stories of the marginalised to bring to wider and curious
