Jharkhand approves mobile tabs for 21000 residential school students, service regularisation manual of para teachers

Ranchi, Jan 19: In a major decision, state government welfare department will give mobile tabs to 21000 students of 136 residential schools for their studies.

The state cabinet sanctioned Rs 26 crore for this and this would help students to get online studies during lockdown at their home. Significantly, state welfare department run residential schools cater to mostly poor tribal students

In another major decision, Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Ltd. has been appointed as consultant for product revenue augmentation of  Jharkhand State Beverage Corporation, a wing of state Excise Department.

State cabinet coordination secretary Vandana Dadel informed this after the meeting, saying it was one of the 51 proposals passed by the cabinet.

Other approvals given in the meeting included promotion of a section of demonstrators to the post of lecturer in the light of Jharkhand High Court order, extension of Food Processing Industry Policy 2015 till September 4, 2022, reimbursement of an amount of Rs 31 lakh spent on the treatment of Lokayukta D.N.Upadhyay who died of Covid last year, one lakh as compensation to workers in case of silicosis and Rs 4 lakh as compensation for next to kin in case of death of a labourer due to silicosis.

Among the other approvals included extension of retirement of age of Ayurvedic doctor working under SC/ST, Minority and Backward Welfare department from 60 to 65, Rs 58.01 crore for construction of houses for police personnel in Godda, Rs 58.01 crore of Nandini Water Reservoir scheme, Rs 23.23 crore for Kanchi Canal Project, award to two players, Nikki Pradhan and Salima Tete of Jharkhand who were part of Indian Hockey who reached up to semi final in Tokyo Olympic, award ranging between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 45 lakh to four archers of the state and their coach.

The list of approvals also include Rs 161.67 crore for Medini Nagar water supply project, selection of National Institute for Smart Governance on nomination basis for proper management of revenue documents on annual fee of Rs 79.20 lakh, change in boundary of a plot in Kanke for giving land for construction of Tata Trust Cancer Hospital in RINPAS campus, nomination of IIM, Ranchi as knowledge partner for pre budget workshop on a annual fee of Rs 12.50 lakh, nomination of CSCSPV for establishment of permanent enrolment centre for Aadhar, printing of different welfare schemes of government on the first page of note books provided to students of Class I to XII in state run schools, service condition of para teachers and tabs for 21000 students of welfare department run residential schools for online education, besides Rs 900 crore for giving subsidy on petrol price to two wheeler owners having ration cards.

Other approvals include creation of 35 posts for Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University besides nomination of Care India for technical support for execution of foundational literacy and numeracy programme for students of Class I to III , Rs 104 crore for water project on Koyal River, Rs 49.14crore for construction of road in Dumka, Rs 29.46 crore for the same work in Latehar, Rs 68.88 crore of construction of bridge and approach road on NH-33 near Ormanjhi, power of secretary to SKIPA director general, nomination of Transforming Rural India Foundation, Charity Aid Foundation and Better World Foundation to provide free consultancy for job to unemployed, Rs 140 crore for giving financial benefit to 791 workers of transport corporation, change in recipe of food item given to children and mother under ICDS scheme, Rs 1204 crore for Mega Lift irrigation project in Dumka and appointment of IFOREST to work as knowledge partner for Mines and Geology Department for sustainable development in mining area.

Apart from this, the cabinet also approved service and promotion rules of different departments in accordance with the new controversial recruitment policy of the state government.

The rules of para teachers of the state have been approved. Under this, Jharkhand Assistant Teacher Service Condition Rules 2021 has been formed. 62 thousand 876 para teachers will be benefited by the making of this manual. He will now retire in 60 years. Their honorarium will increase on the basis of assessment test. Compassionate jobs will be available on the basis of merit.
