The Jonha Rural Economic Zone (REZ) model, developed by Transform Rural India, Leap, and the Gupta-Klinsky India Institute at Johns Hopkins University, outlines a five-year plan (2025–2030) to transform Jonha Panchayat, Jharkhand’s economy. It targets 15% annual GDP growth, diversification from agriculture (80% of households) into enterprises and services, and doubling average household income from ₹65,000 to ~₹130,000 through investments in irrigation, rural enterprises, tourism, and digital infrastructure.
