Reading the Landscape records what 83 villages across Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh found when assessing their own landscapes through the Community-led Character Assessment Tool. Institutions and infrastructure are improving; water, wildlife, soil and culture are declining. It shows why community knowledge belongs in planning and climate action.
